Very interesting little museum. It provided a more complete insight into the life of da Vinci, illustrating how he was far more than just an prolific artist. It featured a mix of replica paintings, models machines and other displays. A lot of the models, based on da Vinci's designs, were available to be tested. Overall, a very interesting place to spend an hour or so.

Tourist trap? It's bright and clean, but was Da Vinci ever in Rome? You'd learn more just reading a 2 page bio. The machines are neat, but you don't get the historical context. You can go through the whole museum thinking Da Vinci was always an old man, that everyone admired him, that no one else built similar stuff for entertainment or war. It's the museum equivalent of a puff piece.

It didn't have any great exhibits but they did reconstruct many of Da Vinci's works and experiments. Many were also interactive. The layout isn't great as you have to walk through the same halls several times. This would be a great museum, I think, for children.

If you lije physic and Leonardo da Vinci you will enjoy it. Its not big but most of exhibition demonstrate the key parts of Leonardo's inventions. You can touch and try most of them.

I do agree with the other comments. This is a small museum, containing approximately forty exhibits. Which range from recreations of da Vinci's inventions to "fakes" of some of his paintings. It cost 10 Euro to enter which was a little high considering the size. The exhibits contained information, and a lot of them would be played with to see how they worked. There was also additional videos on some of his work, but these cycled through several languages so you had to be lucky to find one they you could understand. It is well worth visiting, especially if you are a fan of da Vinci. My girlfriend was dragged in with me and enjoyed it as well. She doesn't normally like museums or such.
